| 2 | Would it be possible to gather about assertions per test case or something similar? I am not feeling well and will be taking a sick day today. The ETLs that did not run early Sunday morning due to daylight savings did run on schedule this morning. Saturday night ETL did not complete until 11:30 last night. As a result a new ETL for AIG did not start last night at 7:30. There were no errors and it should run on schedule tonight. Several were red this morning. Their ETLs simply never ran last night. They were all scheduled to run around 3am. Since today is Daylight Savings the scheduler server didn't have a 3am today. They should all run on schedule early tomorrow morning. TEST is also red because its ETL is still running. No errors so far but last Sunday it ran unusually long so I will check later today to see if it finishes before their next schedule ETL |
| 3 | Just wanted to let you know that I put some initial estimates on the stories in the 8.0 reporting sprint. I'm just trying to get an idea of capacity, so I used the number I sent below. These are not set in stone, so we can review them on Monday for any stories that you think should be higher or lower. I know that half (or more) of the team is off today, but let's plan to meet anyway to discuss some of the items in the list to see if there is any additional information that we need from Drew. We can catch up with the Ukraine folks on Monday to put estimates on any stories during our first group breakdown session. |

Got my generator going but have no phone, cable or interweb The road around me are a mess. I'll be online and available by phone. Just call my extension if you need anything from me. With the holiday for the Ukraine tomorrow, should we move this to Monday? As we move deeper into implementation of the New Horizon UI and Dashboards, there is even a greater need that we increase and improve communication within the team. As is typical in all large efforts to upgrade an application, there will be questions and concerns directed to product, BSA and developers that will come up very frequently. In the next few sprints, all the teams will start to focus on these larger efforts. To that end, I would request that you to ensure that I'm carbon copied on all such emails. This would greatly help in coordinating work efforts across all sprint teams. |
| 5 | The next few build coming into QA will appear funky but all the issues will be ironed out gradually with preference given to functional issues. After working through a number of issues, the refresh of dev1 is complete and the refresh of dev2 is running. Dev2 will be available tomorrow morning. Let me know if you have any issues. I'm wondering if there have been any configuration changes on the development and qa reporting servers –that may affect performance. We are seeing processes, such as ETL, that typically take 15-20 minutes to complete taking close to 4-5 hours. I'm going to reboot dm95 now to see if that resolve the issue, but wanted to check with the Hosted group to see if there was anything that is new or being tested on those servers that might be causing performance problems. |
| 6 | Thanks. The reboot is done now. Interesting about the VMware changes because I was seeing some messages in the event viewer about vwware. Apparently the one thing I can do very well in 2013 is catch a cold. My wife, daughter and I all have a sore throat and a fever. I also threw out my back yesterday, so today should be really fun. | 7 | Partha was able to fix the apply process that wasn't running correctly from ETL. He told us what we were missing, so Jim is going to include that in the setup steps now. All 3 databases should be all set for ETL to run correctly after tonight. I believe Jim will be running the missing steps either tonight or tomorrow. I have increased the DB2 database connection timeout value from the default of 10 seconds to 20 seconds for all the instances in the QA DB2 database server this morning. I'd like to do the UAT server tomorrow or ASAP pending SAs fixing a password issue I am having while attempting to logon. When were the last changes applied to reporting server? I ask because I currently am not able to query the linked server on server. I was able to do this a few weeks ago, so I'm guessing some changes went into effect that is causing this issue for me now. This is a reminder that when a developer commits code to the branch and/or promote code from the branch to the trunk under a story/task, please only commit/promote code that is related to the story/task. Unrelated code to the story or task will lose traceability and create additional maintenance headache down the road. Code reviewers for level 1 and level 2 please check for code relevance during the review. When you have doubt, please discuss with one Checking in again to see if your permissions issue has been resolved after the fix I made on Friday. Let me know when you have a chance.
