| 1 | I can say that almost all the time of our hectic life, I am a realistic person rather than a one who believes in fantasies. I have learned to remain with my feet on the ground. On the other hand, very deep in my soul I am still a child. I grew up with all kinds of mythical creatures such as characters of my favorite fairy-tales. Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny and others. |
| 2 | As for Santa Claus or Father Frost for many years millions of people have believed in their existence. We all want to believe that Santa is alive and every Christmas he brings us presents. To my mind. Santa Claus is a beautiful story that many people around the world tell each other at this time of the year, when we especially show our love for each other. |
| 3 | Besides, just the thought that there's somebody kind and powerful, who cares about you and fulfills your dreams, gives us a feeling of comfort kindness, protection. That's why, societies create these parental figures. There is also one thing we shouldn't forget. Christmas has already become a part of a big business. All shops begin to prepare for Christmas months before it. They change decorations, introduce new goods, change working hours, plan sales and so on... |
| 4 | As for the idea that children are told untruth... I don't think it is vey bad. What are fairy-tales then? All fairy-tales are fictional. The story of Santa is just another fairy-tale. It manifests itself later in life. Personally, i still believe in Santa. I am old enough to understand he is not real, but i do believe in the spirit of the Holiday, because it is pleasure and fun to do so. |
| 5 | I just enjoy this winter holiday! Moreover, when i am an adult and have my own kids, I will tell this story to them in order to break the change of generations. If I could create a new fictional holiday character, i would think of somebody like Santa or Father Frost. One more fairy, or a princess, or an extraordinary teenager, who will save the world from ecological disaster or someone like that. |
| 6 | One thing is for sure i would never create someone similar to the heroes of Chinese or Japanese cartoons: robots, monsters, vampires and so on. |
